Dr Julien Chevreau
Trained in obstetrics in the largest maternity ward in metropolitan France (Jeanne de Flandres maternity, Lille, approx. 6,000 deliveries/year), Dr Chevreau has acquired extensive experience in terms of pregnancy monitoring, management of pathological pregnancy, as well as physiological and medicalized deliveries (breech and twin deliveries).
Successively resident, registrar and head of department in University Hospitals, Dr. Chevreau managed the antenatal diagnosis department of the Amiens-Picardie University Hospital (France), where he performed 2nd intention prenatal ultrasounds, amniocentesis , and deliveries. In parallel, he participated in numerous studies published in international medical journals, as well as in the establishment of national guidelines.
After a thesis and a specialist degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr Chevreau joined the ranks of Swiss hospitals in 2020, first at the cantonal hospital of Friburg (FR), then at the Jura Bernois hospital (BE), as associated chief of department. During this period, his ultrasound skills were recognized by the Swiss ultrasound society (certificate of additional training in ultrasound in 2020), and he obtained his degree in advanced gynecological surgery from the Swiss Institute for postgraduate medical training (ISFM) in 2022. He decided to open a private practice to provide complete and personalized care to his patients. He takes over the activity of Dr Frank Grutter on February 1st, 2023. Dr. Chevreau lives in Lausanne, is married and has two children. He is fluent in French and English, and speaks some German. |
